Ok it's dj talk right now: Out of all the cassette tapes i have in my collection.This is the one i hold dear to my heart.This was the the tape that made me want to become a dj..This is Grandmaster Flash & Melle Mel, Busy Bee at a live show 1980..Understand before the records, before the small mixers, before the Ultimate Break Beat Records..These were the original 12"..For example Juice - Catch A Groove the break is not that long..For Flash to be catching the break this fast is mind blowing to me...We are talking 1980 where the equipment is much bigger the crossfaders are much tighter...This dude is cutting the snares and everything...When i heard this tape back then it gave me goosebumps..Now when i hear this today i still get goosebumps..This might be the best i ever heard Melle Mel from back then..Plus Flash is getting those records on super fast and scratching like that...Damn this is "1980"..This is how a dj & mc should compliment one another..These cats were trailblazing something i had never heard before in 1980...I was in 9th or 10th grade at this time..Me and my friends Winnie Pearson, Lance Washington & a couple of my homies from New York would be trading tapes..I love this stuff....
