From the poster, Alan Bershaw: "For me personally, the most consistently rewarding performances of The Grateful Dead's entire career was their Europe '72 Tour. I was contemplating why and it's in large part because Jerry Garcia was so inspired and had such a clean penetrating guitar sound on that tour. Despite having a plethora of customized guitars and processing equipment at his disposal over the years, he never sounded sweeter or more expressive than he did playing the simple rig he had on that tour - just a '55 Fender Strat and a Colorsound wah-wah pedal. That's it. Here's a perfect example taken from the raw outtake footage of the Beat-Club television show taping in Bremen, Germany on April 21, 1972. I also love this song best at this moment in time, when it had just become a new vehicle for exploring the stratosphere."
