The 1st of April 1933 saw the troops of the SA march out onto the streets of the towns and cities of Germany and commit the first outward expressions of deplorable hatred against the Jewish people of Germany. The blockade of Jewish owned shops, was to begin the forced separation of the Jews of Germany, from Germany. It was an act that punished the Jewish people, and the people that refused to comply with the NSDAPs dictates. Although, principally unsuccessful, it turned the Nazis toward other manifestations of anti-semitism.
