Gauteng Transport MEC Kedibone Dialle Thlabela says every road user is bound to abide by the rules of the road and the scholar transport operators are no exception.
She says those who led a protest against the impounding of unroadworthy, unlicensed and overloaded scholar transport vehicles are free to exercise their right but such operations will not stop.
Over 60 scholar transport vehicles were impounded during a law enforcement blitz yesterday for not adhering to the regulations of the road.
