Wheels for the Mission! Bishop Theodore Mascarenhas Blesses 6 Motorbikes for Pastoral Work | CCBI Communio Gift to Daltonganj Diocese

This video captures a moment of immense joy and gratitude in the Daltonganj Diocese as Communio, a charitable initiative of the Catholic Conference of Bishops of India (CCBI), Latin Right, generously gifted six motorbikes for essential pastoral work.

The ceremony followed the Diaconate Ordination, marking a significant step in equipping the newly ordained ministers for their mission in this poor region.

The Gift and the Blessing

His Excellency, Bishop Theodore Mascarenhas SFX, offered a solemn blessing upon the new vehicles [01:55], praying for the safety of the riders and asking that Christ be their companion on the road [03:00]. This gift is crucial, providing the necessary mobility to reach remote communities and carry out their ministry effectively.

The sixth motorbike was gratefully received by Fr. Santosh Ekka, whose own missionary bike had become aged and dysfunctional after 18 years of service [01:19].
