This flight was in complex #airspace and ATC was a huge help!
Last Saturday was a big #Aviation day: a total of 6 trips to 4 different airports, and when Blake asked if I could squeeze in a quick local aerobatic ride for Britt, I couldn't say no.
That said, I was not in a headspace to be a "film guy" at all, so I was entirely "pilot guy", and handed Blake my DSLR, before rigging my set it and forget it cameras to capture whatever we'd get on this flight.
The objective was to gather some footage that Britt could use as a quick little scene about this flying adventure on her sailing channel.

I've had the pleasure of giving dozens of first aerobatic rides at this point. I rarely film them other than to give the person a private video for their memory. But this one stood out. Britt's energy is infections, and she asked a ton of great questions while enjoying "the full menu" that I (and the RV-14) can offer - which never happens on a first (or even 4th) ride because most people need to (understandably) tap out - but she coulda kept going until I was outa gas - LOL. After reviewing the footage while organizing it for her, I was inspired to make this into a raw Patreon Supporter exclusive at a minimum, and ultimately decided it was worth a full public episode, with the added bonus that it was a super easy edit.
In other news, I've got several IFR flying related episodes, the rest of the Beta all electric aircraft training series, and more VFR, aerobatic and even some interesting simulation related episodes on the way.

I appreciate Bose Aviation being a Flight Chops supporter for almost 10 years! Britt and I are both wearing an A30 headset while dealing with a lot of ATC and also some intense “on the fly” Aerobatic briefing!

Shout out to SiriusXM Aviation - (and they have it onboard Alia)
we'll cover cross country flying in the CX300 CTOL version in a future episode.
Having access to weather data while flying is a game changer!

FLIGHT CHOPS DISCLAIMER:
I am a "weekend warrior" private pilot, I fly for fun with no intentions of going commercial. I have had my PPL for over 20 years, but still consider each flight a learning experience - I generally take detailed notes after each flight to remind myself what went well or what I could do to improve.... Having GoPro cameras to record flights like this is invaluable. I find these self analysis videos very helpful in my constant quest to improve, and am happy to share. Feedback is invited; however, please keep it positive.
