It took us a bit of planning, but we finally managed to enjoy a full cycling afternoon in Amsterdam. And what a sunny bike ride it was!
We chose to explore a bit of Amsterdam-Zuid by bike, and in just one afternoon we experienced the busy streets of Amsterdam as well as quiet parks, riverside paths, leafy lanes, museum squares, canals, floating houses, and even a windmill.
Speaking of museums, we cycled through the Rijksmuseum not once, but twice. After all, it’s not every day you get to ride under Rembrandt masterpieces! :)
Amsterdam has a way of keeping you on your toes while cycling, with so many pedestrians, bikes, cars, and trams around, yet it also offers moments of calm in its quieter areas.
We’ll definitely be back for more sightseeing on two wheels in the near future. Stay tuned!
