Aegiali is the second port of the island, located on the north coast of the island and has heavy tourist traffic. Access to Aegiali is either by boat as the port is connected with Piraeus and the other Cycladic islands or by car from Katapola and Chora. The area, according to archaeological findings, has been inhabited since ancient times. In Vigla one can see the ruins of the ancient city of the same name. Aegiali consists of three small villages, equally beautiful and traditional. It is built on the slopes of the highest mountain of Amorgos. The three towns: Langada, Tholaria and Potamos with their authentic island charm earn the admiration of visitors.
