This was my 88-temple route adventure. From showering in tropical downpours to hiking in the extreme heat. The constant tsunami threat. Beautiful temples. Boring kilometers of asphalt. An Asian centipede in my tent under the clear starry sky. The sound of silence. Many failed fishing attempts. Constant mosquito buzzing. Smoks of incense. Monstrous vistas. Endless rice paddies. I swam in beautiful, cool rivers and wondered what the Buddha meant by living a moderate life.
I want to thank the people of Shikoku who supported me, and especially the family who took me in when I had heatstroke. This will stay with me forever.
