I created this piece many years ago for a margam i originally wrote and composed for ANANYA dance music series! I have revisited the piece and added the NEW LAST CHARANA OR STANZA to this lullaby!
Rama was a character I grew up with! His stories and saga intrigued me as a child! It is so sad that the same character was turned into a weapon of hate by selfish miscreants! Ramayana is in noway singular! It’s folk retellings are so beautiful! It’s time we all reclaim all of these characters and gods from the space of hate and selfish politics!
