Today, I visited a unique café in Sector 19, Chandigarh that completely surprised me — it’s called Buns Bistro, and it's not your average hangout spot. Imagine this: you're enjoying a thick, creamy chocolate shake, digging into some comforting pesto Alfredo pasta, and just when you think it can't get better — they offer you a pottery session.
Yes, seriously!
🎥 In this vlog, I take you through the full experience — from the peaceful outdoor seating area to the food, the service, and of course, the hands-on pottery fun.
🌿 Café Ambiance
As soon as I stepped in, I was greeted with a calm, open-air environment — perfect for those who love dining with nature. The seating area is filled with wicker and wooden furniture, surrounded by trees, plants, and a small waterfall flowing nearby. There are white umbrellas above the tables for shade, and the sound of water adds such a peaceful touch to the whole vibe.
Located right next to the Le Corbusier Centre, this café is ideal if you’re looking for a relaxing meal with a creative twist.
🛎️ Service & Seating
The staff were genuinely sweet and professional. As I sat down, I was served water infused with carrot slices — refreshing, healthy, and such a thoughtful detail. Fun fact: carrot water is great for hydration, digestion, and skin health!
There’s also a little bell on each table you can ring if you want to place an order or need something — a super cute and efficient touch that makes the experience feel personal and relaxed.
Initially, I was seated in one area, but due to some ants (open-air life, you know), I asked to switch seats. The staff was incredibly understanding and helped me move to a spot right beside the mini waterfall — and honestly, that change made my experience 10x better. The sound of running water, greenery all around... it was pure zen.
🍽️ What I Ordered
I ordered:
Chocolate Shake – ₹300
Pesto Alfredo Pasta – ₹500
And here’s the honest review:
🥤 Chocolate Shake:
Thick, creamy, perfectly sweet, and served in a great quantity. It felt like a dessert on its own. If you’re a chocolate lover — this is a must-try!
🍝 Pesto Alfredo Pasta:
Super creamy with the right balance of garlic and fresh basil flavors. It had a generous mix of broccoli, olives, bell peppers, and cherry tomatoes, and came with 2 garlic breads on the side. The portion was filling — honestly enough for 2 people. A bit on the heavier side, but in a comforting, satisfying way.
Do I think the food is pricey?
Yes — ₹800 for a shake and pasta isn’t cheap.
But for the quality, portion size, and overall experience, I’d say it’s worth it.
🎨 Pottery Session
Now here’s what really sets Buns Bistro apart — after my meal, they offered me a 5-minute pottery session, just for fun. I was guided by a kind and patient instructor who taught me how to make a diya using clay. It was relaxing, therapeutic, and honestly, I didn’t expect to enjoy it so much!
If you want to take your pottery creation home, they offer to fire and finish it for ₹200 extra, which is a great option if you want a keepsake.
They also offer pottery classes, so if that’s something you’re interested in, definitely ask the staff for details. It’s such a refreshing change from the usual café scene.
💬 Final Thoughts
My visit to Buns Bistro turned out to be more than just a food outing — it was a full-blown experience. Between the great food, beautiful setting, warm service, and pottery session, I left feeling full, relaxed, and honestly, a little more artistic than when I came in 😄
If you’re in Chandigarh, or just passing through, I definitely recommend giving this place a try — whether for a date, a solo self-care day, or a fun hangout with friends.
