In 2018 WHO published new guidelines on the medical management of abortion. In this webinar, we will discuss the evidence behind the updated recommendations and strategies for adopting these guidelines in country settings from different partner perspectives. Objectives of the webinar are to: 1.) Provide an overview of WHO Safe Abortion Guidelines, 2.) Highlight the differences and evidence behind the recommendations in the updated 2018 Medical Management of Abortion Guidelines and the 2012 Safe Abortion Technical and Policy Guidance for Health System Guidelines, and 3.) Showcase field based examples about how WHO Guidelines on Safe Abortion have been used to strengthen reproductive health programming.
