Guest chantyman Revell Carr leads a working demo of a capstan on the schoolship Joseph Conrad during Mystic Seaport's Sea Music Festival, 10 June 2012. Participants include the Seaport's Demo Squad, festival goers, and your truly. The chanty is "Paddy Lay Back." Due to the small size of this capstan, one can't step very fast, so after the first verse I realized for this song I'd have to step at "half-time" pace.
