While partaking in a two week holiday in Southern England there was ample chance to witness some southern steam action and thankfully a certain local railway gave us a rare chance to capture some Southern Steam. Our holiday accommodation would see us located just a stones throw away from Harmans Cross on the Swanage Railway so we spent a few hours catching the railways two train summer services which were operated by B.R 78018 courtesy on the Great Central Railway and the resident U Class 31806. There was also some mainline steam action close by with 35018 British Line on the Bournemouth Belle and The End Of Summer Steam Special which was seen on the 3/7/21 & 9/7/21 ! There was also a brief appearance from 60163 Tornado on a light engine move to Swanage for servicing while hauling the Bournemouth/Northern Belle ? We didn't bother to capture this on the mainline as we were travelling on the Swanage railway itself and didn't have time.
So nothing too exciting here as we were on holiday and filming wasn't top of the agenda. I hope you enjoy some of the scenes we which we managed to capture.
