I know this all too well! I used to get such bad razor burn from shaving my bikini line that I decided to try to wax my bikini line one day. I purchased an at home wax kit from the grocery store where they have pre-made wax strips. As you can imagine, it didn’t go well. I put one strip on and then realized that due to the pain, I might end up backing out of the second wax strip. I, then, had the genius idea to put the other wax strip on while I still had the first one on. Then I could just pull them off at the same time so I could ensure both sides got done. Well, it took me 30 minutes to have the guts to remove the strips and once I did, oh my god. I had blood clots raised to the surface of my skin, I had multiple layers of my skin removed, it was awful. Definitely don’t recommend doing that!

In conclusion, it is 100% best to let a professional handle this, of course, with your parents consent and presence at the appointment. Make sure your hair is at least 1/4th inches long to ensure the hair is able to be pulled from the root. Also, for the next 24hours after your waxing appointment, don’t do anything too physical, swimming, working out, sun exposure, sweating, etc. This is to help prevent any kind of bacteria or infection from entering your open pores.
