What if a place you remember… no longer exists the way you remember it?
In Season 1 of Lost Geographic, I investigate hidden worlds — places that exist here, now, but not in the way some of us remember them.
This first investigation takes me to Gibraltar.
Many people remember Gibraltar as an independent island, separated from Spain by lots of water. Today, it exists as a peninsula, physically connected to the southern coast of Spain by a narrow isthmus. Officially, it was never an island.
But memories persist.
In this episode, I begin the journey at the airport, preparing to fly directly into Gibraltar itself. While waiting to depart, I present books, photographs, magazines, and printed references that describe or depict Gibraltar as an island — evidence that shouldn’t exist if the official geography has always been correct.
Some remember it.
Some don’t.
The episode ends with my arrival at Gibraltar International Airport, stepping off the plane as The Rock of Gibraltar rises behind me — a place that feels familiar, yet fundamentally changed.
If Gibraltar exists as a peninsula now…
why do traces of an island remain?
And if this is a crossover from another reality —
what else has crossed over with it?
