FULL INTERVIEW: Maryland native Cam Whitmore ready to rep the Wizards in upcoming season

Another season of Washington Wizards basketball is here.

Cam Whitmore is returning to ball in the DMV.

The Washington Wizards have traded draft picks for the Odenton, Maryland native who was drafted by the Houston Rockets just two years ago.

In return for Whitmore, the Rockets reportedly receive a pair of Washington second-round picks (2026, 2029).

The Rockets drafted Whitmore 20th overall in the 2023 NBA Draft. In his two seasons in Houston, he averaged 17.4 minutes, 10.8 points, and 3.4 rebounds.

Whitmore played one season at Villanova University (2022-2023) before declaring for the draft.
