Perth Children's Hospital is launching two amazing new resources developed by our Nutrition and Dietetics department, full of helpful information and advice around the importance of good food hygiene and nutrition during cancer treatment.
Well-nourished kids can cope better with the effects of treatment like chemotherapy and radiotherapy, and are at less risk of infection. Practicing good food hygiene can also lessen the risk of getting sick when their immunity is low.
This animated video will guide you through how to manage appetite, symptoms and side effects of treatment like eating with a feeding tube, as well as detailing the help available from PCH dietitians.
