Logic Pro: The new Mixer Updates Explained

A short and sweet video this week to highlight a couple of recent developments which will help you when ensuring the Mixer isn’t getting too big and unwieldy with Channel Strip elements you don’t need.

We all know that loading Patches from the Library means we nearly always get a Software Instrument, Insert FX and Auxiliary FX. If you’re building a template, or if you simply want all Piano or Pad or Bass sounds to have access to the same Auxiliary FX, Patch Merging will interest you. This allows you to load only the parts of a Channel Strip that you need. So if you want just the source sound without any MIDI FX, Inserts or Auxiliaries, you can now make that selection. And… Long Faders are here! As its name suggests, this feature provides long-throw faders within the Mixer. What a lovely addition they are.
