Important Points:
The area vector is a vector that is normal (perpendicular) to the surface area it describes.
Electric flux can be positive, negative, or 0 depending on how the area vector and electric field vectors are aligned.
Gauss's Law states that the electric flux through a closed surface is equal to the total amount of charge enclosed by the Gaussian surface divided by the permittivity of free space.
