Ireland's Biggest Outdoor Exhibtion Basketball Game

Big Time Basketball came back to Thomastown, Kilkenny, Ireland during the summer in what was once again one of Ireland's biggest Outdoor Basketball Exhibition Games!

The Thomastown-based Berkeley Boys Basketball Club were delighted to be able to organise this hugely popular event following the huge success of last year’s Outdoor Basketball Exhibition Game. The crowds once again came in their droves to witness this unique and exciting family event that showcased the skills of top Irish International, National League and Professional Basketball Players.

Russ Ryan, one of the organisers, said that similar to last year the exhibition game was like a dream come true for so many kids who got to see the players put on a show with plenty of slam dunks and entertaining basketball, in what was once again a brilliant atmosphere.

Similar to last year the game took place at the newly developed basketball amenity located in the centre of the town that was developed and funded under the Town & Village Renewal Scheme by Kilkenny County Council.

We want to thank everyone who came to support the exhibition game where we all got to see a fantastic display of skills by some of Ireland's top hoopers including some legends from the 80s, and to top it all off we had brilliant weather. Special thanks to all who travelled to the game, the surrounding clubs, all the players both male and female who participated and brought so much energy and good humour to the event we really appreciated your time. And a big thank you also to all the volunteers and our sponsors who helped make the event a huge success.
