In today’s world, people’s mental health is deeply affected. Many individuals experience emotional imbalance due to family problems and the stresses of daily life. They often feel angry and find it difficult to control that anger. We should dedicate at least one to two hours every day for meditation to bring peace to our minds. In our Ismaili community, we perform Bandagi — the Baitul Khayal Ibadat — as a form of meditation. At 4 a.m., we sit in silence, close our eyes, and recite “Ya Ali, Ya Ali.” This practice brings deep peace to our mind and heart, clearing away unnecessary thoughts and emotions. Nowadays, even when we pray or perform any task, our attention is often distracted by worldly thoughts. Even during prayer, our minds wander toward daily problems and responsibilities, which prevents us from truly focusing on our worship and inner peace. That is why, in today’s time, it is essential for us to close our eyes, meditate, and take care of our mental health with full attention and calmness. This practice is not only important for the youth, but also for children, elders, and our parents. Taking care of our mental well-being is necessary for everyone.
