We can also use separation of variables in polar coordinates. In this lecture we solve Laplace's equation on a disc using separation of variables. To do this, we convert to polar coordinates and see that the radial variable results in an Euler ODE to solve. From there, we show that things are much the same as they were in the previous lectures on separation of variables.
