Is Jesus removed from Salvation Army?

Received a Christmas card from the Salvation Army church, and was horrified not to see the gospel message of Noel, the advent coming of the Messiah and the Jesus Christ salvation message to all!! Instead a shallow greetings card giving blessings but no real salvation message which is ironic seeing they are the Salvation Army. The Christmas card had charity letter accompanying it, with a drive to to hemorage money from us donors rather than any undertone of evangelism, out reach and faith in Christ which would of been a better weapon to defeat poverty.
what makes Salvation Army different to any other Christian charity? Are they still a church or are they trying to make it a corporate fund raiser removing Jesus name from the cornerstone? is there aim to become an online church and brass band and sell all their buildings?
where is their 12.5 billion pounds going???
