A gentle commute from Waiheke Island into Queen Street, Auckland travelling with yarn, fabric, and projects in progress.
In this shop kōrero, I share my journey to New Zealand Fabrics & Yarn, a quiet tour of New Zealand yarns and shop samples, time with beautiful fabrics, and a little show-and-tell of what I’m stitching and carrying with me. The day pauses for a coffee at Alamo on Wednesday , Slow Koi on Thursday and Ground Coffee, 205 Queen Street, on Friday with a waterfall tucked inside the city.
This isn’t a rush-hour vlog. It’s a slow, mindful look at making, movement, and finding calm in the everyday.
If you’re planning to visit Auckland here are a some treasures to find. Getting to Waiheke Island is easy catch a ferry either Island Direct https://islanddirect.co.nz/ or the other one it’s called Fullers.
