The 2nd Annual Crankie Cabaret features 7 crankies created by a variety of artists and storytellers, live music, puppetry and other absurd theatrics. Hosted by the very fabulous Matthew Ocone!

What is a crankie? A crankie is an old storytelling art form. It’s a long illustrated scroll that is wound onto two spools. The spools are loaded into a box which has a viewing screen. The scroll is hand-cranked while the story is told and accompanied by music, puppetry and more.

Should I bring my child?
This event is intended for adults. Though most of the show is fine for children, some of the stories contain grotesque imagery and references to sex. If you have specific questions about whether this is appropriate for you, get in touch and we'll give you some spoilers.
