In the chase for the AI that gives time back, tools multiply faster than the minutes they promise to return. I want ABRACADABRA, I speak thus I create. I keep getting ABLABLABLACADABRA, a chain of logins, model choices, prompt rewrites, connectors, retries, and formatting steps. It feels like we are wandering in a forest of shiny tools, each claiming to be the shortcut, while the real competition becomes who knows the most tools and who writes the best prompt. The transition is real, and simpler interfaces will arrive, yet the current maze dissolves the will to reach the better solution because keeping up becomes its own job. Are we building technology to buy back time, or building a new status game where speed of adoption matters more than quality of life?
