I had a PANIC ATTACK 3000 feet in the air (actually)

This was a stretch for me. I pushed myself a bit further than I usually do because I’ve always dreamt of flying – literally I have dreams about it. At the same time… I went to cognitive behavioral therapy for a year and a half to get over my FEAR of flying. It mostly worked, but I still have to deal with fear every time I get on a plane – it’s not like it’s gone – it’s just that I now have some techniques to process it, so it ends up feeling less horrible. Anyway all that to say, getting my pilot’s license to be able to paramotor was a bit of a complicated decision for me. But I’m glad I did it. I have a belief that people are capable of change – that anyone is capable of deep, broad, expansive growth. And part of the reason I did this trip was because I wanted to give myself another proof point in support of that belief.
