4 Most Rare & Forgotten Cars! You've Never Heard Of!

First up, we have the Ginetta G21, a British sports car from the late 1960s. This lightweight beauty was ahead of its time with a fiberglass body, tubular steel chassis, and advanced independent suspension. Ginetta offered it with either a peppy four-cylinder or a powerful Ford V6 engine. Despite its impressive features, the G21 faced challenges like the 1973 oil crisis and tough competition, resulting in only about 80 units being made.

Next, we've got the Bristol 412, a luxurious grand tourer with a unique Targa-style roof. Produced by Bristol Cars from 1975 to 1993, each 412 was custom-built to the buyer's exact specs. It featured Chrysler V8 power, a comfy leather interior, and a smooth ride perfect for long trips. The 412 also had some cool variants, like the turbocharged Beaufighter and the convertible Beaufort. With only 98 examples made in total, the Bristol 412 is a true collector's item.

Moving on to France, we have the quirky 1960 Panhard PL 17. This car was all about being lightweight and aerodynamic, with a sleek aluminum-magnesium body designed by Louis Bionier. It had a small but mighty 848 CC flat-twin engine and could seat six people thanks to its clever interior layout. The PL 17 even won the 1961 Monte Carlo Rally! But its unusual design and expensive construction made it a tough sell, and Panhard eventually got bought out by Citroën.

Last but not least, we have the 1976 Stutz Blackhawk VI, a hand-built luxury car that combined American muscle with Italian craftsmanship. Designed by Virgil Exner, the Blackhawk featured a long hood, freestanding headlamps, and a spare tire protruding through the trunk. The interior was just as fancy, with 24-carat gold-plated trim, hand-carved wooden accents, and Connolly leather seats. Celebrities like Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra loved the Blackhawk, but with a base price of $47,500 in 1976 (that's about $254,000 today!), it was out of reach for most people.
