Street Fishing Amsterdam — limited time in cold weather. We finally returned to Amsterdam after six years, this time fishing entirely from the streets and canals. With only two nights stay to fish before heading to Cologne, I explored familiar spots near Centraal Station, checked out a local tackle shop, and tried to make the most of a very tough bite.
Amsterdam has over 100 miles of canals and around 1,500 bridges, many of which are legally fishable with the proper permits (VISpas being one of them). In this video, I share my realistic street fishing experience — the gear I packed, how I approached canal fishing, missed trains, cold hands, and finally getting a bite when it mattered. If you enjoy travel fishing, urban fishing, and honest fishing trips that don’t always go perfectly, this one’s for you!
