Dad dropped by the birdbath to help me water the lawn – very kind of him. He went for a long time without bathing so far as I'm aware. His first dip (I didn't have a camera set up) was a couple of days ago. I took it as a good sign he was starting to feel like his normal, healthy self. He looks good to me here.
I saw him fly into the mango tree and land in an unusual spot so I figured he was going to have a bath and turned the camera on. After the first dip he returned to the tree but I figured he'd be back. They usually have a dip, preen, dip, preen thing going on.
He has a good, long preen before heading over toward the Mountain soursop tree. I actually went out in case he was going to spread out on the ground and get bitten by a meat ant again – he didn't spread out but he did get bitten! If it's any good I'll try and get that short up in the morning. I haven't checked my phone footage yet.
