This video was recorded in 2012 during a dance series that focused on classical Egyptian film dance. We watched films from the 1940s and ’50s featuring iconic dancers such as Samia Gamal, Tahia Carioca, and Naima Akef, and danced to music by legendary composers like Farid el Atrache and Mohammed Abdel Wahab.
