Making And Testing An Atypical Energetic: Silver Acetylide

The energetic silver acetylide can be made by driving acetylene gas through a solution of silver nitrate and weak nitric acid. The precipitate that's formed is silver acetylide. It can be set off using either friction, impact or fire. In the small quantities its typically made in, it's not stored but used up in demonstrations as is the case here.
