Black Rice is known for its high nutritional and aphrodisiac properties (also known as the forbidden rice)
It's a pleasant aromatic wholemeal rice that cooks in 40 minutes (if not soaked) releasing a special aroma of both sandalwood and freshly cooked bread.
This recipe centres on how I cook the perfect Black Venus rice whilst cutting down the cooking time.
The intensely nutty flavour and aromatic woody smell of the rice makes it one of my favourite ingredients in the world.
