The Edgar Broughton Band was an English psychedelic rock group formed in Warwick in 1968. They started as a blues band but shifted toward psychedelic rock, moving to London and signing with Harvest Records. Their debut single "Evil" was Harvest's first release in 1969, followed by their album "Wasa Wasa," which featured heavy blues influences and Edgar Broughton's gritty vocals. The band became notorious for controversial free concerts that sometimes led to civil disorder, including incidents in Redcar and Keele that resulted in several towns banning their shows. They continued recording through 1970 with releases like "Out Demons Out!" and the album "Sing Brother Sing."
