Longacres Neighborhood Helps Chanhassen Fire Department Collect Toys

Chanhassen shows up for one another in the best ways.
Every year, our Fire Department and city staff team up to help support Toys for Tots donations, and every year, the Longacres neighborhood in Chanhassen takes that spirit even further with its "Longacres Santa Parade." What began as a small idea during COVID has become a rolling wave of lights, costumes and generosity that grows with each season.
Residents in Longacres (and, now, residents in Ashling Meadows, The Park and The Bluffs at Lake Lucy as well...) collect toys for Toys for Tots and food for Bountiful Basket, and their totals speak for themselves. Last year alone, they gathered 1,493 pounds of food and 500 toys.
The parade returned this past Sunday, and we were there to capture all of the fun and festivities.
