DC HATES And Disrespects Green Lantern

Green Lantern has proven to be one of the most important characters in the DC Comics mythos, being a founding member of the Justice League and containing some of the most unique stories in the DCU. However, that notion doesn't seem to be translated into many DC mediums like films or video games, as many adaptations fall short in delivering a proper portrayal of the Green Lantern character. DC Animated films, such as Justice League Dark: Apokolips War, or games like Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, the game set in the Batman Arkhamverse, disrespect the character in ways that aren't faithful to the comics. The Suicide Squad, consisting of Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, King Shark, and Deadshot, is able to kill Green Lantern. A couple of adaptations here and there have done the character justice, like Justice League Unlimited, which included John Stewart, Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Martian Manhunter, Hawkgirl, and many others. James Gunn's DCU promises to showcase the Lanterns with 'Superman Legacy' and the 'Lanterns' show, which features John Stewart and Hal Jordan. This is in contrast to the DCEU, where the character never appeared in Zack Snyder's Justice League.
