Christopher John Cornell (né Boyle; July 20, 1964 – May 18, 2017) was an American musician. He was best known as the lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist, and the primary lyricist for the rock bands Soundgarden and Audioslave.
A confessed fan of Bruce Springsteen, he covered several songs of The Boss throughout his career. To honor his memory, we share this stunning rendition of 'Thunder Road' in Red Bank, NJ, on November 25, 2011. His voice continues to inspire and move us. Rest in peace, Chris.
