This project is a holiday rental villa, designed in 2017 and located near the coastline of Manhattan, California.
The design is inspired by constructivism and modernism, featuring fluid, shell-like geometry, curved forms, and a lightweight steel structure that allows the villa to float above the landscape.
The villa is organized as a multi-level floating structure. A floating car park terrace acts as the zero level, connected to the villa by a bridge. Beneath it, a Japanese-inspired garden forms a calm transitional space.
The interior includes an open-plan living and kitchen area, a private bedroom level, and a sea-facing basement with a gym, study room, and outdoor terrace. A distinctive feature is the glass ceiling above the study, offering a direct view of the swimming pool above.
This project is conceived as an architectural experience, where structure, landscape, and movement are seamlessly integrated.
