In "And those keen shafts of memory that stung like fire", artist Oupa Sibeko – in collaboration with Lerato Matalodi – uses play and performance to bring together movement, poetry, sound, honey, salt and feathers to show how memory and stories are carried, interrupted or rewoven through our bodies.
The performance was commissioned by the Bioart+Design Africa research programme for the "Re:Fuse-Ability" exhibition, and produced during Sibeko's UJ artist-in-residence.
