Lodging & Vibe

• We stayed at Hinode Hills in Niseko: large suites, amazing mountain views, on-site onsen.

• The hotel had a peaceful, upscale vibe with easy access to the gondola and Niseko Village.

• Snowy drives, glowing village lights, and Japanese whiskey made it feel like a dream.


Snow & Slope Time

• Arrived to late-season powder dumps. Perfect timing!

• Us parents snowboarded while the kids did ski school.

• Highlights included fresh tracks, quiet slopes, sledding, and a bluebird day to wrap it up.

• Also a trick to prevent bruised butts made it into the best experience!


Food & Drinks

• Hokkaido Yakiniku: grilled wagyu and cow tongue at the table. Fun and delicious.

• Green Leaf’s Goshiki: warm lunch during a snow day.

• Sushi night: Ok, but not as memorable as the yakiniku.

• Luke’s steakhouse: extraordinary quality and taste.

• Amaya fine dining: multi-course omakase with crab, sea urchin, wagyu, scallops—unforgettable.

• Airport finds: $12 wagyu meal + a beer and free Hokkaido milk samples!


Family Moments & Fun

• Ran into our friend ("Thor") at the airport. A great omen.

• Soaked in the onsen multiple times.

• Sledding, snowball fights, and snowman building.

• Kid sleepovers with Seinfeld while parents double-dated.

• Said goodbye to friends and left full of good memories.
