The warning saying “Electric Traction System Fault” in Peugeot hybrid or electric vehicles is a very generic message that may be connected with a lot of different culprits. Unfortunately, dealers are very often helpless and keep throwing expensive parts at your car in hope to fix the issues somehow.
In pre-2022 models, it’s very often the well-known problem with the AC compressor that affects the electrical system when it overheats. The problem has a solution in form of a software update that basically tells the computer to stop caring about the hot compressor.
Also, you may try replacing the 12V battery since the weak battery will cause this warning almost certainly. Other than that, this warning will require a good high-end scanner to see the codes. Before you do that, it doesn’t make sense to replace any expensive parts.
