Painting BJD fantasy parts - Rune's scales

Hello, everyone! This week I finally get to share the exciting and fun part of this customization project, which is painting Rune's lizard parts! Well, as exciting as the very long, very slow process of airbrushing dark colors can be.

A few pieces still need a little touch up before I can put him all together, including the top coat of matte sealant to reduce the shine of the permanent sealant, but I think the hardest part is now done.

Almost this entire video is played in 6 to 8 times the actual speed, to give you an idea of how long this process took. I had to break it up over the course of several weeks and work when the weather permitted. If the final coating I put on these parts holds up, though, I should never have to do this again...
