“Our Days in Mallorca” Episode 5.
Following on from the previous video, our island holiday officially commenced only for us to suffer a “serious setback” on day one.
I'd meticulously planned a packed itinerary, but it all went down the drain thanks to us sleeping in for a full fourteen hours.
So we decided to let it go, leisurely heading downstairs for a late lunch-dinner before strolling along the nearby beach.
And so this final day slipped by in lazy idleness.
For the first time, I felt little guilt.
It had been ages since I’d simply done nothing by the sea. Travel over the past couple of years has invariably been packed with photography assignments, making it difficult to truly let go and unreservedly “waste” a stretch of time.
In any case, I hope we can all find moments to catch our breath — free from the rush to reach destinations, tick off checklists, or skim the surface of sights. Instead, let us genuinely pause within a life different from our own, savoring its enchanting allure.
