Action from the 1991 Winfield Australian Sprintcar Series Grand Final at Parramatta City Raceway, featuring Heats 4 to 6. Australia’s top sprintcar drivers hit the PCR clay in the opening heats of the series decider, setting the tone for a big night of high-speed, hard-fought racing.
These early heats played a crucial role in determining the grid and momentum for the remainder of the Grand Final, with plenty of close racing, slide jobs, and classic early-’90s sprintcar action on display.
This footage is not my original recording. It comes from one of the many VHS tapes I’ve been converting to digital in an effort to help preserve Australian speedway history. So many of these classic events were at risk of being lost forever, and I’m proud to bring them back for fans to enjoy once again.
