Last year I money shifted into first instead of third. Blew the clutch and floated a couple valves. After rebuild the trans had shifting problems. Jacks Transmission pointed me to possible shifting mechanism issues. I'm thankful for their advice as it saved me pulling the power train again.
Come to think of it this is probably linked to my mis-shift in the first place. The shifter didn't let me into 3rd and then I tried again and must have bent the selector tang trying to get it into 1st (unknowingly).
