Complaint or Symptom: The screen (5CS48732) in the lid (SCS48693 or 5CS48632) fatigues and detaches from the lid.
Problem or Situation: Grass, leaves and/or debris within the hopper pushes on the screen and the screen material and retention method can fatigue and fail over time.
Solution: A new nylon mesh (5CS2D887) and retention method was implemented on serial numbers XFMC20X000137 (MC2014) and
XFMC21X000545 (MC2120). For units built prior to these serial numbers, there is a kit (5CS6D1600) that contains all the hardware, mesh screen and straps needed to retrofit the new nylon mesh to the lid.
