Southside Wandsworth is a shopping mall located in London's Wandsworth neighbourhood. When it was established, it was the largest indoor retail mall in Europe, and it is now the sixth largest indoor shopping centre in London, behind only Westfield Stratford City, Westfield London, the Whitgift mall, and Brent Cross retail Centre.
Southside began in 1971 as the Wandsworth Arndale Centre, and it was the largest Arndale Centre in the UK, with 110 businesses. It takes up much of Wandsworth's town centre, with five apartment complexes above and the River Wandle running beneath in a culvert. It once housed a variety of businesses, offices, and restaurants, as well as a market traders hall, which has since been rebuilt. It previously hosted a huge nightclub, which closed in 2002.
