The crimes of Doctor Adam Britton can only be described as grotesque. To the world, Britton portrayed himself as a wildlife warrior -but he hid a despicable secret. In 2022, he was arrested and charged with committing vile acts of animal cruelty. Last month, Britton was sentenced to 10 years in prison for the rape, torture and killing of as many as 42 dogs. For two years, Britton’s now former wife, Erin, has stayed silent about the man she once loved, but now she wants to speak out. In an exclusive interview on 60 MINUTES, she tells Tara Brown how she is grappling with a terrifying truth: she was married to a monster.
