Serbia - Anti-government demonstrations

Tens of thousands of Serbians braved freezing conditions on Monday (23/12) as the four week old anti-government demonstrations continued in the capital, Belgrade. Opposition leader Zoran Djindjic called on protestors to continue their efforts in forcing the government to recognise the results of November 17 local elections, in which the opposition 'Together' coalition won control of 15 out
of 18 main towns and cities, including Belgrade.
